  1. Take 100 gms Besan
  2. Prepare 3-4 Green chillies
  3. You need 5-6 Curry leaves
  4. Take 1 medium sized, onion
  5. Prepare as required coriander leaves
  6. Use Pinch Asafoetida
  7. Prepare 3-4 Garlic cloves
  8. You need 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  9. Get 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  10. Provide 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  11. Provide As per taste Salt
  12. Get as required Oil

Steps to make Maharashtrian Besan Curry :

  1. Make a thin batter of Besan/ Gram flour.
  2. Take kadhai and heat oil, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, crushed garlic cloves, a pinch of asafoetida, curry leaves, green chillies and saute till aromatic.
  3. Add turmeric powder and saute for a minute.
  4. Keep gas flame slow and add prepared besan batter, mix well.
  5. Adjust water quantity, add water as per choice as besan started to thicken after some time. Add salt as per taste.
  6. So adjust water quantity according to thickens you need.
  7. Cover and cook for 5-10 minutes to medium flame.
  8. Check meanwhile as besan stuck to the bottom of the pan, still in between.
  9. After ten minutes, Check thickens.
  10. If it is proper thickness turn off the gas flame.
  11. Sprinkle some fresh coriander leaves.
